More About "Decaf Club"
The Rise of Decaf Club: A New Vision
In August 2025, Maurice Natte launched the brand Decaf Club. Together with co-owner Charissa Tromp, he introduced a new ecosystem for coffee lovers. The platform combines a webshop, a location guide, and educational content. The goal is simple: to offer the perfect decaf coffee for everyone. Natte had been carrying this idea for years. He had been drinking decaf himself for three years and often encountered poor quality in the hospitality sector. The brand does not view decaf as a compromise, but as a legitimate choice. Taste, balance, and the coffee ritual always take center stage.
The company’s slogan is therefore: “Good decaf. Without compromise.” According to the website, all products are sustainably roasted and traded transparently. Production has also been kept small-scale. Although technical details about the roasting machines are missing, the mission is clear. Decaf Club aims to change the specialty coffee market in the Netherlands with a specific focus on decaffeinated options.
Four Unique Coffee Profiles and Methods
Decaf Club avoids chemical solvents during the production process. The brand specifically opts for natural decaffeination. They use well-known methods such as the Swiss Water Process, Sugarcane, and CO2 extraction. According to their own publications, this removes at least ninety-seven percent of the caffeine. This results in a filter coffee with only two to five milligrams of caffeine per cup. The permanent assortment is clearly structured into four variants:
The Classic: A bold and familiar espresso with a full body. This blend is perfect for those who love an intense flavor.
The Sweet: A Colombian coffee from El Caney, Valle del Cauca. This medium roast uses the Sugarcane method and offers notes of chocolate, caramel, nougat, and ripe fruit.
The Supreme: An organic and FairTrade coffee from Cajamarca, Peru. This elegant profile uses the Swiss Water process and is characterized by milk chocolate, hazelnut, and a floral finish.
The Bright: A blend from Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, and Ethiopia. This smooth, fruity coffee is a half-caf with fifty percent less caffeine thanks to the CO2 method.
Focus on Freshness and E-commerce
Freshness is a core promise within the brand’s daily operations. The company offers consumers a 100% freshness guarantee: the coffee is never more than three days past its roast date. Products are available in 250, 500, and 1000 gram bags. Customers can choose between whole beans or specific grinds for the moka pot, cafetière, espresso, and drip filter. Shipping always takes place within one business day.
To lower the barrier for new customers, the webshop offers a trial pack. For two euros, this is delivered to your door, including shipping costs. This sample bag contains exactly enough beans for one full cup of coffee, allowing consumers to test the quality without taking a big risk. For orders of forty-five euros or more, regular shipping costs are completely waived.
Visibility in HoReCa and Offices
Decaf Club doesn’s not only sell directly to consumers via the webshop; the brand is also actively building its out-of-home visibility through its own location guide. This guide shows current addresses where the coffee is actually being served. Currently, twenty locations are listed in cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden, and Schiphol. Well-known names on the list include Cafecito Westerpark, Luuk’s Coffee, and Man Met Bril Koffie.
For the corporate market, there is a targeted and accessible trial offer. Offices can opt for a two-week placement for seventy-nine euros. This trial package includes two kilos of fresh beans, a JURA loaner machine, and full installation. Two kilos of coffee yields approximately three hundred cups for the customer. This is one of the few concrete operational statistics the brand shares.
Education and Market Development
The brand aims to normalize and substantively strengthen the decaf category. To achieve this, an extensive knowledge center has been built with over twenty-five articles. These texts cover health themes such as sleep, blood pressure, pregnancy, and caffeine reduction. The company utilizes factual research and refers to renowned organizations such as the WHO, NIH, and EFSA. This approach attracts a target audience actively seeking wellness and a better night’s sleep.
In the early stages, founder Maurice Natte personally called new customers. Through this, he gathered valuable feedback on taste, grind size, and machine settings. This demonstrates a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous product development. Although information regarding specific farm partners or production volumes is still missing, the market position is established. Decaf Club offers an accessible, thoughtful, and innovative perspective within the Dutch specialty coffee scene.
