Hawaii is the only U.S. state with commercial coffee production, thanks to its tropical climate and fertile volcanic soils. The most famous origin is Kona, located on the slopes of Mauna Loa. Hawaiian coffees often feature a smooth, bright flavor with subtle sweetness and mild acidity. Production is relatively small, making these coffees premium and exclusive.
