More About Blooss Coffee & Tea

The Evolution of Blooss Coffee & Tea
Blooss Coffee & Tea started in 2015 as a local coffee roastery in Raalte, Overijssel. Today, the company profiles itself as a broad specialist in both coffee and tea. The physical store closed its doors on 24 August 2024. Since then, the business has focused entirely on online sales and B2B activities. The roastery on the Praamstraat in Raalte remains open for visits by appointment.
Behind the scenes, the company is led by Annelie Jansen and Martin Blokvoort. Jansen is a certified coffee roaster and joined as co-owner in 2023. The team consists of two to ten employees. Their shared mission centers on flavor, quality, purity, and connection.
Direct Trade and Roasting Philosophy
Their own roastery is the heart of the brand’s identity. Blooss focuses heavily on premium and specialty coffee, with traceability and fair pricing for the farmer always taking center stage. There are no public details available regarding the specific roasters, batch sizes, or software used.
When it comes to sourcing, the company takes a very direct approach. Their Ethiopian coffee is sourced via Bette Buna, guaranteeing a direct line to the farmers. Representatives from Blooss visit the Ethiopian coffee plantations annually. Terms like direct trade, fair income, and long-term relationships dominate their communication.
The Coffee and Tea Selection
The webshop is clearly organized into single origins, blends, decaf, and tasting packs. The company offers a total of fifteen exclusive coffee varieties. The selection includes several standout choices:

Classic Blend: A 100% arabica blend from Brazil and Sumatra, positioned as the ideal all-day coffee.
Sidamo: Hailing from Ethiopia and grown at an altitude of 1,950 meters. This coffee offers tasting notes of florals, caramel, peach, and fruit.
Italian Blend: A mix of arabica and robusta for a classic and intense espresso.
Cross Roads: A blend featuring beans from Brazil and Rwanda.
No Mercy: A powerful composition of coffee from Rwanda and Java.

Expanding into Tea
Tea has become a significant and growing domain for Blooss. Their range includes more than eighty varieties of loose-leaf tea. Customers can choose from loose tea, tea bags, specialized cold-brew bottles, and various gift sets. An exclusive addition to this selection is the ‘Le Printemps’ tea line. Furthermore, during Horecava 2026, Blooss presented a completely new tea concept to the public.
B2B, Private Label, and Market Position
Blooss focuses emphatically on the corporate market. Hospitality venues, salons, and other organizations are part of their primary target audience. The company offers private label coffee options, allowing business clients to have their own packaging featuring their own name and logo. Corporate gifts, such as combined coffee and tea packages, also form an important part of their offering.
The brand positions itself firmly within the premium segment for coffee and tea. Convenience plays a major role here, which is immediately evident from online promises such as “delivered tomorrow” and options for large volumes. As a result, the webshop in Raalte boasts an excellent 9.7 rating on WebwinkelKeur.
Market Visibility
Participation in Horecava 2026 marked a significant milestone for the company. It was the first time Blooss appeared as an exhibitor. Martin Blokvoort and Annelie Jansen were personally on the trade fair floor to represent the brand and the new tea concept. With over a thousand followers on LinkedIn and active posts about tea tastings and farm visits, the company is visibly and continuously working on the brand experience.
