Brandmeesters Magusto is a dark roasted blend with a distinct espresso character. The mix of Costa Rica, India, Colombia, and Brazil brings sweetness, cocoa, nutty depth, and a spicy tail. Expect notes of dark chocolate and roasted nuts, with moderate acidity and a full body. This makes the coffee accessible, yet rich with a long finish.
The roaster recommends brewing this blend for espresso and milk drinks as follows:
- Single shot 8 to 9 grams, 25 to 30 seconds, approx. 30 milliliters.
- Double shot 16 to 18 grams, 25 to 30 seconds, compact mouthfeel.
- Filter 30 grams per 500 milliliters of water for a balanced cup.
- Also works great in fully automatic machines.
